There will be a Food Desert Focus Group for the Southwest Arkansas Region on September 16th, at Life House Church, 915 East Street, Texarkana, Ar.
The Provider Focus Group, from 9 a.m.-11 a.m., is for anyone that PROVIDES food (any type in any way) to the public such as food banks, soup kitchens, community action programs that provide food, DHS workers that deal with SNAP/food distributions, anyone that provides food commodities, etc. Grocery store managers or owners are encouraged to attend.
The Participants Focus Group, from 1 p.m.-3 p.m., is for anyone interested in talking about their food insecurity such as food bank recipients or people with difficulty accessing food for any reason. This group will receive a $25.00 gift card to Wal-Mart for their attendance.
