Pioneer Days Rodeo kicks off festival next weekend

The Pioneer Days Festival will start next weekend in New Boston.

The festival kicks off on Friday and Saturday with the Pioneer Days Rodeo at 7:30 p.m. at the arena on FM 992.

The following week, beginning August 15, will feature a treasure hunt, amusement rides, concessions, arts & crafts, and a host of concerts including Jeff and Sherri Easter, AC/DC tribute band Back in Black, Janie Fricke, Dion Pride, Marty Haggard, and many more.

There will also be drawings for $500 and $1,000 during the festival, which ends on Saturday, August 20, with a concert by Mo Pitney.
