Police seek murder suspect

Texarkana, Arkansas, police are seeking a suspect in a murder that occurred yesterday afternoon.

TAPD received a call around 3:30 p.m. from the 2000 block of East 24th Street.  Upon arriving, they found 19-year-old Keeunta Gilliam suffering from a gunshot wound.  Gilliam was transported to Wadley hospital where he succumbed to his injuries.  Investigators developed probable cause for a Murder in the First Degree warrant for 18-year-old Jamauri Davis of Texarkana.  Davis is a black male who stands 5’8” and weighs approximately 150 pounds.  A photo of him is available on our website and on TAPD’s Facebook page.  Anyone with information of his whereabouts is urged to call the Texarkana, Arkansas, police.
