A vehicle stolen in Texarkana on August 31 was found in Caddo Parish in connection with a series of burglaries.
Sheriff’s deputies have arrested four teenagers in connection with the burglaries that include at least seven vehicles.
The teens were allegedly stealing prescription drugs and cash from cars in the 4300 block of Roy Road in Blanchard, Louisiana. Authorities found two handguns, a rifle, and the 2020 Dodge Charger stolen from Texarkana in the course of their investigation.
The teens, including a 13- and 15-year-old, as well as 19-year-old Lorenzo Oliver and 19-year-old Brandon Tyler, were using the stolen vehicle to drive around an apartment complex committing the burglaries.
Tyler and Oliver were each charged with seven counts of simple burglary, possession of stolen goods totaling more than $27,000, contributing to the delinquency of juveniles, and resisting a deputy. Oliver also had an unrelated warrant for first-degree robbery. The Caddo Sheriff’s Office has said that the teens may face more charges as the investigation continues.
