Texarkana police arrest man for indecency with a child, solicitation

The Texarkana, Texas, Police Department responded to a 911 call at the New Boston Road Whataburger Tuesday morning.

According to police, employees at the restaurant said that a juvenile female was there with an older man and something didn’t seem right. Police arrived and interviewed 79-year-old Michael Clark and the 13-year-old female.

According to the girl, Clark had offered her money for sexual favors earlier in the day and had touched her inappropriately a few weeks prior. Clark had picked the girl up as she was walking down the street before the two arrived at the restaurant.

A detective with TTPD obtained warrants for Clark and arrested him yesterday for indecency with a child and solicitation of prostitution.

Clark is currently being held in Bi-State Jail with bond set at $225,000.
